Hey Avril Fans
I Just wanted to make a small discussion here and just wanted to know your thoughts. At my school in Canada really none of my friends enjoy Avril’s music and they always put her and the guys down. I just wanted to know how you all felt about what others have to say about her and the guys. My one friend always comments on Avril’s clothing since my friend is very emo and very into punk so she is well discussed by Avril’s clothing. In my opinion who cares about whatever people wear it’s how they express themselves. I love Avril’s clothing it really says to me “I’m here and I don’t give a nuts what you think” haha sorry for my language. I just get very mad and upset when people talk bad about her and especially the guys. Some friends of mine always bash her music I try to ignore but I can’t I just have to stand up For Avril. Av is so awesome and such a role model for me I’m just amazed she came out of Canada rockin!. She is so talented and should be well respected by others. I just think they are jalousie since some of my friends are trying to get into bands ect. Just let me know how you feel about this maybe give me some advice since really I am the only one it seems at school with a Avril poster in their locker.

yea..none of my friends like her that much either, I mean..they dont diss her or anything..because they know i like her..i once got in a fight over the whole "avril is a poser" thing..lol not the brightest thing in the world to do..but i didnt like that chick anyway...but umm as in what to do about it..their your friends so you cant just give them a big slap down lol..just ignore it..and HOPEFULLY they will shut up and go away.

yeah very true nothing agaist the backstreet boys but my two friends love them and i seriously could care less about them since im not a fan but they talk about them 24/7 and any time I may say something about Avril it's back to backsteet boys so i ignore what they have to say about them but at least i respect my friends and listen to whatever they have to say about them I always hold in bad commets about the backstreet boys since I don't want to hurt my friends feelings.

wow lol..theres still people who like the backstreet boys! thats different..and its good that you respect your friends opinions..all my friends listen to manson and things like that ..i mean so do i..but they arent as good as avril..my friends know i think that lol..so they dont really comment badly about avril

my friends tend to take the piss out of ehr 24/7 espec wen she cumz on the radio! then they take the mick out of me for liking her and diss all her performances! i just stand up for myself and tell them to either fuk off or shut their mouths! they dont really get how much Avrils music has dun for me its sumthin i can relate to n i guess loads of ppl can. the fact she dont care wot others thinks of her is kool and well theres this one quote that will stay wid me forever:

Avril-
"if u dont like me 4 who i am, then u dont like me 4 who i am, n all ur gunna get is who i am"

Shes doin wot she wants to do, shes singing wots her, dressing wots her and just being HER! they also take the mick out of matt cuz they no i like him! thats annoying!

i dont take it 2 personally nowadays! i mean at least i no wot music is! lol! u shud listen to the crap they listen to its POP POP POP! all realitly tv shit and boybands! ARGHHH! lol!

yea i dont say crap about wot they like i just sit there and nod n smile! i do tend to go off into my little world and block them out! its pretty easy :P they mite b arseholes but i luv them! lol

I'm a new fan. But I love her music. I know what some of you are talking about because my bff (love her to death) talks about R. A. Salvatore (author) and Kansas AND Styx (80's bands). Any advice besides ignoring her? Nobody likes her here, and like they all diss her, like I hear poser, loser, whore, bi*ch, and nastier stuff even though I listen to her music at lunch and sit and rot time (really is called that).
